Surveys

On completion of the survey a detailed report is issued. This includes site data, an estimate of measurement uncertainty, and a 20 point flow curve (for critical structures).

A Certificate of Conformance is issued where the system complies to national standards, and achieves acceptable levels of uncertainty.

If necessary, proposals are made, or a suitable design submitted.

Where there is a requirement for flow data, CFS offers a complete installation , maintenance and data recovery service. Alternatively, a range of fixed site and portable flow meters are available for hire.

CFS conducts surveys on existing flow measurement installations, including critical flow structures (flumes and weirs), channels and pipes.

Surveys can also be undertaken where no flow measurement facilities exist, for example streams, channels or even tunnels. Recommendations are made where remedial work is needed, and guidance provided in selecting suitable instrumentation.
